Signs of Female Infertility

What can be the most painful situation for any couple? It is not being able to conceive and become parents.

It can be a heartbreaking situation for those couples who have been trying for years. How many of these couples visit doctors at the early stage? Not more than 40 percent of them do that. Many people just keep trying for babies without any medication. In earlier days, not even 40 percent of the couples visited any doctors. It was an embarrassing situation for the couple and hence they do not talk about it. But that is not how you will have to deal with this condition. Seeking medical help at an early stage can be very helpful. You can get a solution for the problem and start treatment as soon as you can.
There is more than 12 percent to fifteen percent of couples face the problem of infertility. Once you have entered the age of 29 and over, the chances of conceiving will only be 20 to 25 percent. That means as you keep aging beyond 29, the chances keep reducing. The couples should reach the doctors for help after trying for six months. If you are above 40 years, then you need to approach for help as soon as possible. Clomid is one of the drugs that your doctor suggests for infertility in females.

Notice the signs:

The human body is made in such a way that it will be itself show the signs of any health problem. You need to observe the changes. For those women with infertility, there will be certain symptoms or signs. We usually ignore these signs unless we fail in our attempts to conceive. When your body is showing any signs or signals, you need to concentrate on them. Seek expert help to get a solution for the problem. So, what are the signs that a female body can show for infertility problems? Only an expert will give you more details about the problem. Let us check out a few common signs here:

Signs of female infertility:

If you are unable to recognize the signs of female infertility, then here are some of them for you:

No periods:

There can be some factors like stress or too much workout that can delay your period or skip it. But this condition should not continue for more than three months consecutively. If you are facing that problem, then you will have to get your fertility checked. It can be a sign of infertility. If you delay it for months, then it can become a major issue for you. It is not a common problem and hence be very careful from day one. We will have to start with taking medicine for treating infertility at an early stage for better results.

Irregular Periods:

For females, the periods should be regular as long as they have not entered the menopause stage. A female cycle would be of 28 days on average. It is still fine if the cycle is somewhere between 21 days to 35 days. But it should be consistent. For a female who has irregular periods, it can be next to impossible to predict when the egg is going to ovulate. This usually happens due to an underlying health condition related to hormonal changes. It can be:

  • PCOD
  • Thyroid
  • PCOS
  • Hyperprolactinemia, or other conditions.

This will be a cause of infertility in women. You will have to swallow pills for hormonal imbalance or infertility pills like Bromocriptine.

Bleeding between your periods:

Another sign that you should be careful is bleeding between your periods. Usually, you should bleed only during the periods. But if you start bleeding in between, then it can be a cause of fibroid, cervical lesion, or Uterine Polyp. You should start talking about it to your doctor and start your Clomid treatment immediately.

Heavy periods Mey be Signs of Female Infertility

Periods are quite normal for every female. They should not hamper your everyday tasks. For some people the period bleeding is normal. But if you are bleeding more than normal, like you have to change your pad every hour, then it is heavy bleeding. Also, if you are bleeding for more than six days or passing clots in the period, then it is considered heavy bleeding. Heavy bleeding is always a major sign of infertility. More than 40 percent of females have infertility issues due to this problem only.

Painful Sex:

Sex is sometimes painful but that should not be the same for the entire life. A female will experience mild pain during the first few times of having sex. Later sexual life will not be very painful. But some women experience too much pain during sex and that continues every single time they have sex. Many people compromise thinking that it is a very normal condition. You should not neglect this condition. It can be due to an underlying condition, hormone issue, or any other problem. That can lead to infertility.

Sudden weight gain May be Signs of Female Infertility

Weight is always one of the most important parameters to keep in mind if are planning to have a baby. Some women are underweight, while some are overweight. So, if you observe a sudden change in your weight, you need to discuss it with your gynecologist. You should also check if you have made any recent and major changes to your diet. That will help you understand better about your body.

Too short or too long cycles:

Another common sign that many people ignore is the period cycle. As discussed earlier, the cycle will be for 28 to 35 days. But some people have a short cycle like 18 days.

  • If you are having a too-short cycle, then the egg is not ovulating in the right way. Also, the progesterone levels will be very low and you will not able to sustain the pregnancy. So, if you have a too-short cycle, talk to the doctor.
  • The too-long cycle will also not give you a chance to predict the ovulation process.

The clomid drug can help in treating this condition.

Treatment options:

There are several treatment options available for females if they are suffering from infertility. One best things that you should do is consult a doctor at the initial stage. When you neglect for a long period, you are making the condition worse. That means sometimes it can get tough to conceive even if you take pills when the treatment is delayed for a very long period.

You can go for treatment options like:

  • The first and simple option is to try fertility drugs. Fertility drugs like Clomid, Clomiphene Citrate, or Gonadotropins, are easily available. There will be many factors to look into before using the fertility drug. So, seek help from expert doctors on it.
  • In Vitro Fertilization or IVF is one of the most common treatment options these days. Many couples opt for this kind of treatment when they have failed in all other possible ways. The fertilization process is done outside in a lab and the fertilized egg will be placed back into the female uterus.
  • Surgical procedures are available for its treatment depending on the actual reason for infertility in women.

Overall, Clomid can be used for safely treating this condition.
